Welcome to Wingate Faith Global Methodist Church! It is my greatest honor to be the pastor of this amazing congregation. Whether you are new here, or have grown up in this congregation, I pray that your time in this church helps you grow in your faith and in your discipleship. I hope that you feel loved and welcomed, as well as feeling challenged to become the person that God is calling you to be. The mission of the Global Methodist Church is “To make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.”
On a more personal note, I began my time here in January 2025, and I hope to have the opportunity to serve here for a long time. I have a dog (Marco), two kids - Abigail and Andrew, and am married to another Global Methodist pastor, Dave McElwee. I am a die-hard Virginia Tech fan, but am more than happy to cheer for Penn State as long as the two teams never play each other. My two favorite verses of scripture are Philippians 1:6 and Luke 23:34a.

Wingate Faith Global Methodist Church was started on February 15, 2024 after signing papers to leave the United Methodist Conference. Our love for Jesus and our passion for serving the community has remained the same. We seek to be a blessing to others, as God has blessed us. We love to sing, we love to fellowship, and we love to serve as God calls us.
What We Believe
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
